Pre-Order Cancellation & Fair Use Policy
-
Overview
- Pre-orders allow customers to secure upcoming products before release. Many pre-order products are limited, allocated or in high demand, and placing a pre-order may reserve stock that could otherwise have been made available to another customer.
- Payment may be taken immediately when a pre-order is placed. By placing a pre-order, you are confirming that you intend to purchase the product once it becomes available.
-
Customer-Requested Cancellations
- If you ask us to cancel a pre-order before dispatch, we may deduct a reasonable amount from your refund to cover unrecoverable payment processing fees, refund fees and administration costs charged to or incurred by Total Cards.
- This deduction will usually be no more than 3% of the cancelled order value, unless our actual unrecoverable costs are lower.
- As an alternative, we may offer the full cancelled amount as store credit with no processing deduction.
-
When No Deduction Applies
- A deduction will not apply where:
- We cancel the order.
- We are unable to supply the product.
- The product is faulty, incorrect or not as described.
- Your statutory rights require a full refund.
- A deduction will not apply where:
-
Automated Orders, Bots And Unfair Use
- Pre-orders are intended for genuine customers. We may cancel, limit, refuse or review orders where we reasonably believe automated purchasing tools, bots, scripts, multiple accounts, payment abuse, repeated cancellations or other unfair ordering methods have been used.
- This helps protect fair access to limited products and prevents stock being reserved by customers who do not intend to complete their purchase.
-
Order Limits
- From time to time, we may apply limits per order, account, payment method, person, household or address. If we believe these limits have been bypassed, we may cancel or reduce the order.
-
Statutory Rights
- Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
