FAQ

Getting started is easy! If you have any questions or want further details, we've answered many below.

Yes, you must complete the Bulk Submission form and await our confirmation before sending anything in. If you send your bulk submission without completing this step and receiving a response from us, there is a risk that we may not accept your submission. In such cases, you may end up wasting both time and money by shipping your cards prematurely.

For the best experience and to ensure your submission is accepted, it’s always best to wait for our confirmation before sending anything.

Yes, accuracy in completing your submission form is crucial. The more precise your input, the more likely you are to receive an offer that closely matches the estimate displayed after submission.

If there are discrepancies between the information you provide and the cards we receive, this may result in an offer that does not meet your expectations. Additionally, such discrepancies could lead to delays in processing and issuing an offer.

In order to help us get an offer back to you as quickly as possible, please pre sort your bulk into the following card types:

  • Common
  • Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Special Energy
  • Trainer
  • Holo
  • Celebrations Holo
  • Reverse Holo
  • Reverse Trainer
  • Holo Energy
  • V/ex/GX.....etc

Please ensure that card types are seperated, either in seperate containers, storage boxes or with notable tabs as this will help the team process your submission quickly.

We rely on industry-leading platforms and sophisticated software to aggregate sales data and analyze market trend statistics. These tools allow us to evaluate the current value of your cards based on real-time market conditions. Additionally, our company economy, which focuses on efficiently redistributing cards back into the market, plays a critical role in determining offers. This ensures that our pricing reflects not only market trends but also the sustainability of our operations.

If we do not hear back from you within 30 days of sending your submission offer, we will extend this period for an additional 30 days. However, starting from the 31st day of no contact, your submission will enter Stage 2, and additional charges will apply to your sorting fee. From Day 31 to Day 60, a 15% daily storage fee will be added to your outstanding balance. This charge is necessary as holding onto your submission prevents us from accepting other submissions.

If no response is received within 60 days of the initial offer, we reserve the right to process your submission, and it will then become the property of Total Cards.

To avoid these fees, we recommend ensuring that the contact details you’ve provided are accurate.

When you leave a submission with us, we aim to get an offer back to you within 7 days from the date you submitted your cards / sealed products to us.

Many factors may affect this timeframe, from the size of your submission to how many other submissions that may be ahead of your own as well as any busy periods, (including but not limited to main TCG releases or Christmas) it may take us slightly longer, but we will always aim to get an offer to you within 14 days.

We currently offer two methods for submitting your bulk cards:

  1. In-Person Drop-Off: Visit our Gaming Centre in Newton Aycliffe to hand over your submission directly. This is the safest option to ensure your cards reach us without any risk of loss or damage.
  2. Postal Service or Courier: If visiting us in person isn’t feasible, you can send your submission via a courier or postal service of your choice. We strongly recommend using a fast, tracked shipping method with insurance to safeguard your package during transit. While we take every care once your submission is in our possession, we cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are lost, delayed, or damaged during shipping.

To protect your cards, please ensure your parcel is securely packed using bubble wrap or other protective materials. Taking these precautions helps prevent damage and ensures your submission arrives with us in the best possible condition.

Once your submission has been processed and the offer accepted, you will be given the option to choose from four payout methods: Store Credit, Cash, Bank Transfer, or PayPal. Payments will be made within 30 days of acceptance, based on your selected payout method.

So you are ready to submit your cards to us! But how should you submit them to us?

Sorting

You should sort/organise your cards by Rarity and Card Type. An example of this would be:

  • Common
  • Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Special Energy
  • Trainer (regardless of rarity)
  • Holo Pokemon (regardless of rarity)
  • Celebrations Holo (regardless of rarity)
  • Reverse Pokemon (regardless of rarity)
  • Holo Trainer (regardless of rarity)
  • Reverse Trainer (regardless of rarity)
  • Holo Energy (regardless of rarity or card type)
  • V/VMAX/VSTAR/EX/ex/GX/illustrator/character rare/etc

Please Note: There will be a minimum sorting fee of £3.00 applied to your submission (whether you choose to take our offer or not) as our team still has to spend time looking through your submission, sorting them and pricing them.

Please keep in mind that these are estimates and can change depending on the length of time it takes to sort and price your submission. Also, if your cards arrive with us unsorted, this will take more time to sort and price, resulting in additional costs.

Packing your Cards

We recommend using a box such as this Cardboard Box - Fold Out Box For Storage (4000) - TotalCards.net

Fold-out Boxes allow for your cards to be rowed nicely and are a lot easier for storage. Be sure to use Dividers to separate the rarity of cards.

Make sure to add protection around the Storage Box. You cannot send this box to us using postal or courier services. This is because the box does not offer enough protection to ensure the cards arrive safely. You can do this by wrapping bubble wrap around the box and placing it in another box for example. If you would like your storage box/ storage mediums used to submit your cards returned you must make us aware of this when filling in your submission form

Your cards must be submitted to us appropriately packaged. We reserve the right to refuse any submission if it isn't packaged appropriately to protect the contents and of an adequate hygiene level (we had bugs in one submission).

If you need any further information regarding your submission feel free to reach out to our support team at support@totalcards.net

If you decide not to accept our offer on your submission, we will arrange with you for its return. You can either collect it in person or request a collection yourself through your own courier of choice.

We understand that mistakes can happen, and some counterfeit cards can be difficult to identify. However, with our extensive knowledge and attention to detail, we are well-equipped to spot any counterfeit cards that may have made it into your submission.

If any counterfeit items are discovered, we reserve the right to terminate your submission, and the submission fee will still be owed to Total Cards.

We sincerely hope all submissions arrive safely. However, in the unfortunate event that a submission is damaged during transit, it will be your responsibility to file a claim with the courier you selected. To minimize risks, we strongly recommend using a tracked delivery method and, where applicable, opting for insurance to cover your submission while in transit.

Please note that we are not liable for any damage incurred during shipping. Upon receiving your submission, we will thoroughly inspect it and promptly notify you of any damage identified. Should a claim need to be raised with the courier, we are happy to assist by providing photos and evidence of the damage to support your case.

A sorting or submission fee is a charge applied to cover the cost of processing your submission. The base rate for this fee is £3, and the amount may vary depending on the quantity of bulk submitted and whether the items were pre-sorted by you before sending them to us. This fee will only be applied if you choose to reject the offer we make for your items. The reason for this is that processing your submission requires time and resources, and when an offer is declined, we need to recover the time spent on evaluating your items.

However, if you accept our offer, there will be no sorting or submission fee to pay.

The Bulk Submission form is designed exclusively for selling items to Total Cards, including both cards and sealed products. It is not intended for obtaining valuations or appraisals of your collection. By completing the form, we can efficiently manage and process submissions, ensuring we do not exceed our processing capacity within a given timeframe. This helps us allocate the necessary time for each submission while allowing us to assist other customers promptly.

Additionally, the form allows both you and us to clearly identify the items being submitted, including quantities and condition. It also provides a rough estimate of how much your submission might be worth when sold to us, helping you make an informed decision.

Anything which has a value higher than £30 should be photographed individually and declared within your submission.

We offer four payout options: Cash, Store Credit, Bank Transfer, or PayPal. Currently, we provide a 5% bonus on payouts if you choose Store Credit, and an additional 10% if you are a Total Cards Elite Customer.

Please note that we are unable to offer other payout methods at this time, but we will notify you if this changes in the future.

We primarily accept English, near-mint condition Pokémon cards. Unfortunately, we cannot provide offers for cards that are counterfeit, from World Championship decks, or any other identifiable pre-constructed products.

While we do accept bulk energy cards, older cards, or those with slight wear, these will not be factored into the valuation of your submission.

The cost of sending your submission to us is your responsibility. While we sincerely hope our offer meets your expectations and that you choose to accept it, if you decide to decline, you will also be responsible for covering the return shipping costs to have your items sent back to you.

Your offer may differ from your initial expectations due to several factors.

If discrepancies arise, they may be influenced by factors such as the actual condition, rarity, or demand for the cards you submitted, which might differ slightly from your initial assumptions. Our goal is to provide fair and transparent offers based on the most accurate data available.
