D&D melds with Magic in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms!
Wizards of the Coast are the masterminds behind both Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, so it seems only natural to bring the two properties together! D&D books featuring Ravnica and Theros have already been released and later this year we will be treated to Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, a Magic expansion that will feature iconic monsters from the lore of D&D!
Some early teaser images from this epic set have now been revealed and our excitement for it has only increased. Revealed as part of the set are the Legendary Dragon Goddesses Tiamat, who will surely see play in dragon decks, Prosperous Innkeeper, which showcases the new Halfling type, and Baleful Beholder, based on the original and iconic D&D monster!
Products that have been confirmed include:
- Draft Boosters The standard draft boosters contain 15 Magic cards and are ideal for limited players. They can be purchased as individual packs or in boxes of 36 packs.
- Set Boosters Each set booster contains cards that aren't available in the regular draft booster and also includes exclusive art cards. They include 15 Cards per Pack and are available as single packs or in boxes of 30.
- Collector Boosters Each premium collector booster contains 16 cards and 1 double-sided token. Aimed at collectors, these booster contains a ton of foils and a great deal of valuable cards. They will be available individually or in boxes of 12.
- Theme Boosters The Theme Boosters are aimed towards players of particular colours and the five booster types are based on the 5 colours. Each pack contains 35 cards.
- Commander Decks The set comes with four Commander decks. Each deck contains a 99 card deck with 1 speciality card, a Premium Commander (New art), 10 Double-sided tokens, 1 speciality reference card, 1 insert checklist, 1 Commander life tracker and 1 deck box.
- Bundle Each bundle includes 10 boosters, 1 storage box, 20 premium lands and 20 normal lands, 1 bundle promo card, 1 oversized spindown counter, and 1 insert
Four Commander decks have been revealed:
- Aura of Courage
- Draconic Rage
- Dungeons of Death
- Planar Portal
