Marvel's Spider-Man swings his way into Magic the Gathering! (Card List, Spoilers and More!)

It's official, Marvel's Spider-Man is web-slinging his way into Magic the Gathering on the 26th of September - and we've got our first look at this much anticipated set! This set will be Standard Legal (yay!) which means you can bring Spidey and friends (or enemies) to your tournaments. This is a big step forward for Magic the Gathering, as previously the sets from Universes Beyond weren't really Standard Legal until Final Fantasy - which releases in June - and this means you can bring some awesome characters from pop-culture to the world of MTG.

But enough about the legality jargon, we want to look at what to expect come September! Well, for this set, you'll be able to pick up packs in the form of Play Boosters and Collector Boosters as well as a Bundle and Scene Box. The Scene Box was last scene (see what I did there?) in the Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth back in June 2023 and generally features a full artwork made up of around 6 cards. This time, we see Doc Ock, Venom, Green Goblin and Spider-Man make up the scene cards! These include 3 Play Boosters, 6 art-cards, and a paper display easel - and appear to be retailing at around $41.99, so if you're a fan of Spider-Man it's definitely worth considering picking up a Scene Box!

As for the rest of the product line-up, it's pretty standard. You get 30 Play Boosters per booster box, 12 Collector Boosters per booster box, and with the bundle you get an array of accessories to play with alongside your 9 Play Boosters and an Alt Art Promo. There'll also be Pre-Release boxes available closer to the release date!

Other than what we've mentioned here so far, there isn't much else to bring up about Marvel's Spider-Man! One thing to consider is that this set opens the door for so many more Marvel characters to join in on the fun. We already had a Secret Lair featuring Wolverine, Captain American and more - but this leaves potential for a whole other multiverse to open up inside of the Magic the Gathering lore! It'll be interesting to see what WOTC are cooking up behind closed doors.

Currently, Marvel's Spider-Man is not available to pre-order, but you can sign up for notifications by checking out the products on our site! Universes Beyond: Marvel's Spider-Man releases on the 26th of September 2025.
