Why you should pick up Star Wars Unlimited: Legends of the Force!

Star Wars Unlimited's 5th set Legends of the Force is releasing Friday the 11th of July, and there's still time to pre-order if you haven't done so yet. But if you've been holding off, you'll be missing out - because this impressive set is loaded with Force-sensitive goodies that you don't want to pass on!

The Force has always been present in Star Wars Unlimited, it would be daft not to include it with characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker being part of the roster. But in Legends of the Force, SWU is taking this to the next level. The creators are introducing something called Force tokens, which are created through a series of playstyles. Most commonly, these will be gained through the use of your bases - which will be stipulated in the action text.

For example, Shadowed Undercity (Legends of the Force 021/264) will create a Force token when a friendly Force unit attacks. You only get 1 Force token at a time, and these can be used for actions. Darth Maul, Sith Revealed (Legends of the Force 009/264) can tap and use a Force token to deal 1 damage to a unit and 1 damage to a different unit.

There are also more powerful cards that utilise Force tokens, such as Darth Sidious, the Phantom Menace (Legends of the Force 039/264) who can utilise a Force Token when played to defeat each non-Sith unit with 3 or less remaining HP. This means you can take out a wave of your opponent's units and give yourself the upper hand, and really makes you consider how you're using these tokens.

When your Force token is used up, you remove it from play - but don't worry, you can get it back. Actions like Drain Essence (Legends of the Force 041/264) allows you to deal 2 damage to a unit and gain a Force token.

Not only that, but Carbonite Boosters are back! These incredibly popular booster pack variants are the Star Wars Unlimited equivalent of Collector Boosters and include exclusive prestige variants.

If that hasn't convinced you, then this might - 18-Pocket Albums! That's right, if you've been keeping your collections in a non-specific binder, you can swap them over into one that's Star Wars Unlimited-themed. There's two to choose from; the Unlimited Pattern, and Darth Maul/Qui-Gon Jinn. These, alongside other accessories such as playmats, sleeves and soft-crates will be available alonside Legends of the Force on Friday the 11th of July.

So what are you waiting for? Pre-order Legends of the Force today at a great price!
