Pokemon TCG's Inferno X releasing in Japan this September!

We've known about this set for a while, but Pokemon have officially confirmed that the second set in the MEGA line-up for Japan is releasing on the 26th of September! Inferno X is set to bring back the iconic Mega Charizard X, and other iconic Pokemon such as Sharpedo, Toxtricity and Oricorio!

This set brings some brand new moves with it, such as the aptly named Inferno X for Mega Charizard X ex (say that ten times fast). This move allows you to discard any amount of Fire Energy from among your Pokemon, and then the attack does 90 damage for each card you discarded in this way. For a move that only costs 2 Fire Energy to use, if you stack your cards right you'll dominate the playfield.

Combine this with Oricorio's Excited Turbo move (which allows you to, as often as you like during your turn, attach a Basic Fire Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Benched Fire Pokemon - so long as you have a Fire Mega Evolution Pokemon ex in play) and you'll be riding the wave to victory. We're excited to see some of the combos our players will come up with!

Don't forget that with the latest MEGA sets, the evolution process is different to previous Mega Pokemon. Instead of evolving from the Stage 2 Pokemon - such as Charizard evolving into M Charizard EX - you will be evolving straight from the Stage 1 Pokemon into your Mega Pokemon ex. So instead of evolving from Charizard into Mega Charizard, you'll go straight from Charmeleon into Charizard. Something to keep in mind when utilising these Pokemon during your matches!

Inferno X releases on the 26th of September, and we're expecting to have our booster boxes land with us shortly after. Be sure to check out the reveals down below, and make sure to join our Discord for pre-order launches!
