Pokemon has offered an early look at what is coming next for the Mega Evolution era, teasing two headline cards from November's Aura Seeker alongside a fresh wave of Mega Attack Rares from what appears to be February's MEGA x MEGA Parade. Neither set has been formally announced yet, so treat everything below as an official tease rather than a full reveal.
Aura Seeker — Mega Lucario Z ex and Sigilyph ex
The two cards shown from Aura Seeker are Mega Lucario Z ex and Sigilyph ex. Mega Lucario Z ex is the obvious centrepiece given the set's name, and its inclusion suggests Aura Seeker will lean heavily on the Lucario line. No attack costs, HP values or full rules text have been shared at this stage — only the cards themselves have been shown.
MEGA x MEGA Parade — Mega Attack Rares Return
The second half of the tease covers a new run of Mega Attack Rares, which are expected to appear in MEGA x MEGA Parade. In Japan this will be a High Class Pack set, the format that traditionally collects the year's strongest cards into a single premium release.
Mega Attack Rares first appeared in last year's Ascended Heroes and its associated products, and they are among the most distinctive cards of the modern era — comic book-style illustrations that break away from the usual full-art treatment. Ascended Heroes itself began life in Japan as the High Class Pack set MEGA Dream ex, so the lineage here is consistent: a Japanese High Class Pack becomes an English premium set, and the Mega Attack Rares come with it.
What This Means for Collectors
If MEGA x MEGA Parade follows the Ascended Heroes pattern, expect Mega Attack Rares to sit at the very top of the pull rate ladder and to drive most of the set's secondary market interest. High Class Pack sets are also typically reprint-heavy, which tends to make them strong value for players building competitively while collectors chase the chase cards.
Both sets remain unannounced officially, so release windows, product configurations and UK pricing are all still to be confirmed — November for Aura Seeker and February for MEGA x MEGA Parade are the currently expected windows rather than locked dates.
