Gem Pack Vol. 7 Is Coming: Misty’s Psyduck Leads the Latest Simplified Chinese Pokémon Gem Pack
Pokémon’s most collectable pocket-sized product line is back. The Pokémon Gem Pack series has become one of the hottest Simplified Chinese releases on the market, and Volume 7 looks set to keep that run going. It lands in China on 6 November 2026. Here is everything we know so far.
A Daydream Theme Starring Psyduck
Every Gem Pack has its own personality, and Vol. 7 belongs to Psyduck. The official tagline roughly translates as “let your mind wander, tilt your head and find treasure,” which suits everyone’s favourite confused duck perfectly. The idea is simple: treasure turns up when you least expect it. If you’ve ever opened a pack on a whim and pulled something incredible, you already know the feeling.
Every Card Is a Holo
This is what makes Gem Packs so addictive. Each pack contains 4 cards, and every single one is a holo. There are no bulk commons to sort through.
Vol. 7 brings a large lineup of Pokémon cards, including several Trainer’s Pokémon cards where Trainers appear alongside their partner Pokémon. On top of that, each Pokémon comes in multiple holo patterns and finishes to chase, including:
- Energy type pattern holos
- Master Ball pattern holos
- Gem Pack logo holos
- Further pattern and foil variants
For master set collectors, that means plenty of versions of each Pokémon to track down. For everyone else, it means every pack feels like a mini treasure hunt.
An Illustration Rare for Every Pokémon
Here’s the big one. Every Pokémon featured in Vol. 7 has its own illustration rare. That’s full artwork across the whole set, with small stories packed into each illustration.
The standout is a brand new illustration rare of Misty’s Psyduck. The artwork shows Psyduck stretched out on a beach chair on a sunny beach, holding a beach ball high in the air, as if waiting for Misty to come and play. It’s charming, nostalgic and exactly the kind of card that disappears from the market fast. Fans of Misty, Psyduck and classic anime vibes will want this one in a top loader the moment it’s pulled.
