The first Japanese Pokémon TCG set for 2026 has officially been revealed, and it’s a big one. Titled M3 MEGA Expansion Pack: Nihil Zero, the set is scheduled to launch in Japan on January 23, 2026.
Nihil Zero marks the debut of Mega Zygarde ex in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, tying directly into the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A video game. This highly anticipated card is expected to play a central role in the set’s competitive landscape.
Alongside Mega Zygarde ex, the set also introduces Meowth ex, as well as a non-ex Barbaracle card that appears to synergize well with Zygarde’s strategy. Fans of Legends: Z-A will also be excited to see characters Tarragon and Naveen make their first appearance in the TCG.
The set includes several notable Trainer and Energy cards as well, such as the Lumiose City Stadium card, Rock Fighting Energy Special Energy, and the Core Memory Tool card.
With powerful new Pokémon, fresh mechanics, and strong ties to Legends: Z-A, M3 MEGA Expansion Pack: Nihil Zero is shaping up to be an exciting start to the Pokémon TCG lineup for 2026.
