Update 29/07

Over the weekend, we were treated to view the whole Shrouded Fable set list just in time for the run-up to release day! We can see all the English Cards that will be featured in this set, including the stunning Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares! Update 19/07

After thousands of reviews from Pokemon card collectors and competitive players, it's been settled that Pokemon Shrouded Fable is going to shake up the competitive scene quite a bit and cause trouble for Charizard users. Here's a few cards that are absolutely going to be included in Pokemon players decks.

Dartrix - Aiding United Wing decks, this Pokemon card can add 80+ damage when four copies have been discarded. United Wing decks work by doing 20x damage when using the United Wing attack, but this depends on how many Pokemon are in your discard pile with the United Wing attack. Not only that, Dark Charizard ex users will be trembling because if Dartrix uses the above abilities then it can one shot either Charizard ex card from Paldean Fates and Obsidian Flames. This will definitely make Charizard ex users consider their deck builds.

Dusclops and Dusknoir - These Pokemon cards are already set to be troublesome. You can discard these Pokemon and place damage counters on one of your opponents Pokemon (5 damage counters when controlling Dusclops and 13 when controlling Dusknoir). This effect makes it incredibly easy to inflict damage, plus gain and negate prizes which helps Charizard decks as it has great synergy. 

Binding Mochi - This Pokemon tool card causes poisoned Pokemon to do 40 more attack damage to your opponent's active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). This card will link well with the Pecharunt ex as this card can switch out one of your benched Pokemon with one of your active Pokemon and that new active Pokemon becomes poisoned. An awesome way to deal extra damage and link with strong Pokemon cards.

Given that this set is due to be legal just before the Pokemon World Championship in Honolulu, we're bound to see these Pokemon cards being used and causing some upheaval! We'll keep you posted for any more card updates and effects on play!

They are being slowly filtered through via their X account (formerly Twitter) and we've been shown Drowzee, Houndour, Inkay and Malamar so far! Update 22/05

Ultra Pro have revealed their next line of accessories focusing on Shrouded Fable! Featuring pack artwork of Pecharunt and the Loyal Three, this is without a doubt the perfect accessory to store the upcoming set in! Available in a 4-Pocket and 9-Pocket variant, these accessories will be available to pre-order from us very soon!

Update 16/05

We can now confirm that, as predicted, our special August set will include cards from "Night Wanderer" and is officially called Shrouded Fable! This set will include an Elite Trainer Box featuring a promo card of Pecharunt, Mini Tins, a Booster Bundle, a 3-Pack Blister and 3 Illustration Collections. Pre-orders are available now for this set!

The Illustration Collections will be based around Kingambit, Kingdra ex and Greninja ex. They will feature illustration rare-style promo cards in a unique Ukiyo-e (woodblock) art style. So far, we have been shown the promo cards for Kingambit and Greninja ex, but will have to wait and see what is in store for Kingra ex! Each of these collections will include 4 or 5 Shrouded Fable booster packs also.

The set description for Shrouded Fable is as follows: Rumors swirl and memories deceive as the march of time beats on in the land of Kitakami! Prepare for nightfall and discover a malevolent presence as Pecharunt ex commands the Loyal Three—Okidogi ex, Munkidori ex, and Fezandipiti ex—to do its nefarious bidding. Meanwhile, Revavroom ex plugs into the grid to Terastallize into a Lightning type, and Kingdra ex makes a royal splash in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable expansion!

The set will include:

  • 3 ACE SPEC rare Trainer cards
  • 5 Pokémon ex and one Tera Pokémon ex
  • 15 illustration rare Pokémon
  • 10 ultra rare Pokémon ex, Tera Pokémon ex and Supporter cards
  • 5 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • 5 hyper rare gold etched cards
  • Over 95 cards
  • Pecharunt makes its Pokémon TCG debut
  • The Loyal Three appear for the first time as Pokémon ex
  • More than 30 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations

The next Japanese set for Pokemon has been revealed over the weekend at the Champions League Tournament, and it's called Night Wanderer! This set will focus on Pokemon such as Pecharunt, Okidogi and Munkidori, all which are featured in the Teal Mask DLC for Scarlet & Violet. Releasing on June 7th for Japanese players, we're expecting to see some of these cards appear in our special English set in August.

This is the final set orientated around the Teal Mask, as Stellar Miracle will focus on Pokemon from the Indigo Disk DLC such as Terapagos ex. We can see from the current Japanese card reveals that not only are the Loyal Three headlining, but we're seeing the first ever ACE SPEC Stadium card with Neutral Center! After Temporal Forces re-introduced ACE SPEC cards to the game, we're beyond excited to see what Pokemon has in store for us in upcoming and future sets (and exactly how long ACE SPEC cards will be staying with us!)

  1. How many cards are in this set? Thus far, there are expected to be over 95 cards in this special set! This number so far is reminiscent of sets like Champions Path and Pokemon GO!

  2. When will this set release? Everything within Shrouded Fable will release on August 2nd 2024, with exception to the Booster Bundle which releases on September 6th 2024.

  3. What is this set about? Shrouded Fable will focus on the Loyal Three and the Pokemon of Kitakami, which were featured within the Teal Mask DLC for Scarlet & Violet. We can expect to see Pokemon such as Sinistcha, Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti and more!

  4. Will there be a booster box? No, special sets from Pokemon do not feature booster boxes, instead focusing on special products (in this case, Illustration Collections!) But if it's booster packs you want to get your hands on without forking out for a full product, they are available for pre-order right now!

  5. Will this set become tournament legal? Yes, this set will become tournament legal on the 16th of August 2024! (Right before the Pokemon World Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii!)

  6. Have all of the cards been revealed? As of the latest update we have made, not all the cards have been revealed. But you can view all of the spoilers, both Japanese and English language, down below!

  7. Can I pre-order this set? Yes! This set is available to pre-order right now!
