Pokemon Release Schedule 2024: What's releasing this year?

2024 has been quite the year for Pokemon, kicking off with special set Paldean Fates and recently releasing the latest main-set entry: Twilight Masquerade. But with only 4 months left of the year, what else could possibly be in store from Pokemon? Well, they've definitely given us a glimpse of some upcoming products and even rumoured sets to close out 2024 - so let's get into what's yet to release (and in order of release!)

August 2024

Holiday Calendar 2024

Pokemon are returning with their Holiday Calendar for the 3rd year in a row, and this themed calendar comes with an array of goodies for Pokemon fans to open on the run up to Christmas Day! If you're unsure as to what comes in a Holiday Calendar from Pokemon, feel free to check out our YouTube where we opened one door a day!

Inside you can find the likes of keyrings, coins for your battles, and stickers. But that's not all, the high value doors reveal a slew of packs for you to tear open and add to your collection! We're curious as to which packs have been added by Pokemon this year!

ex Deluxe Battle Decks

Pokemon are giving some love to the Scarlet & Violet Legendaries by giving them their very own ex Deluxe Battle Decks! Koraidon and Miraidon feature alongside Sandy Shocks and Iron Valiant in these 60-card premade decks.

They also feature TCG essentials such as metallic coins, a deck box, damage counters and condition markers. The full deck lists are available to view on the product pages. These decks are also Level 2, which means they aren't quite suited for your newbie, but perhaps someone who's got the gist of the game but is still new to the competitive scene.

You can pre-order the Miraidon ex and Koraidon ex Deluxe Battle Decks on our site for just £18.95 - also releasing on 23rd August 2024!

Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle 2024

With the previous popularity of the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundles in the past two years, it's no shocker that Pokemon have brought out a third iteration. With the packaging featuring Umbreon and Trevenant, we're pretty excited to see what these packs will hold!

You can either pick up the Trick or Trade BOOster as a bundle, containing 35 mini packs of Pokemon TCG cards (stamped with the Trick or Trade set symbol) or in single packs. Each pack only contains only 3 cards so you'll likely find yourself buying way more than you figured! But at a smaller price-point than usual packs, they're great for kids and those who just want the thrill of opening something for under £1.

You can pre-order the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle or BOOster Packs on our site for just 55p per pack, or £14.95 for the bundle! This product is releasing on 30th August 2024!

Dark Powers ex Special Collection

 If you're a fan of dark Pokemon, or you loved the two-sided VMAX Dragons Special Collection, then this one's for you! Gengar and Absol team up in the Dark Powers ex Special Collection, which features ex versions of these popular Pokemon as well as a jumbo card of Banette ex! Inside you can also find five booster packs and a code card for Pokemon TCG Live!

The Dark Powers ex Special Collection is releasing on August 30th!

Tyranitar ex Premium Collection

This is an incredibly rumoured box to begin with. Tyranitar ex is being featured in its very own Premium Collection box! The product will include some Tyranitar themed sleeves, 3 promo cards, a flurry of booster packs and a card display. As this hasn't officially been listed by Pokemon, rumours have swelled that imply this box may be a Walmart/Target exclusive. Only time will tell!

The Tyranitar ex Premium Collection is releasing on August 30th! If this product is available in the UK, you can find the product here to sign up for in-stock notifications!

Tsareena ex Premium Collection

 Alongside the Tyranitar ex Premium Collection, Pokemon will also be releasing a Tsareena ex Premium Collection at the end of August! There aren't many details around this collection box yet, but it will feature 6 booster packs, a Tsareena ex promo card, cosmo holofoil versions of Bounsweet and Steenee from Obsidian Flames, 65 Poke Ball sleeves, a magnetic card protector with display stand and a code card. The packs included appear to be Temporal Forces, Obsidian Flames and Twilight Masquerade.

The Tsareena ex Premium Collection releases on the 30th of August.

September 2024

Paradox Destinies

Buckle up for another entry into Pokemon's tin selection with the Paradox Destinies tins! There are four designs arriving in September featuring Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Iron Crown and Iron Boulder. Inside you can find 5 Pokemon TCG booster packs, 1 foil promo featuring the aforementioned Pokemon, and a code card for Pokemon TCG Live. These are available in 2 different versions, the US 7" tins and the EU tins.

The Paradox Destinies tins release on September 6th, and the EU versions are available to pre-order from our site for £19.95!

Stellar Crown

In September, we'll be welcoming the next main set entry into the Pokemon TCG! Stellar Crown is dropping in early September, and is based around the Japanese set "Stellar Miracle." It will introduce Stellar-type Pokemon which will function similarly to Crystal Pokemon which featured during the e-Card series. You can read more about this set in particular, including all card reveals, over on our spoilers blog!

With the set you can grab the usual essentials; Booster Boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, 3-Pack Blisters, Checklanes, Premium Checklanes, Sleeved Boosters, a Build & Battle Box and a Booster Bundle!

Stellar Crown is releasing on September 13th, and is available to pre-order from our site!

Accessories 

Other than Stellar Crown at the time of writing this blog, there are no other major TCG product releases. There are, however, some accessories dropping to store your collections in! We'll quickly break down what's dropping and when:

• Scarlet & Violet Greninja and Lapras Mini Portfolio with Booster: Available to pre-order for £5.45, releasing 27th September
• Ultra Pro 4-Pocket Premium Pokemon Snap Binder: Available to pre-order for £21.95, releasing 30th September

October 2024

Houndstone ex Box

October is the month of spooky goodness, and to kick it off Pokemon are dropping the Houndstone ex Box! This collection box is perfect for those who love psychic type Pokemon and Halloween. Included in this box; a foil promo and oversized foil card of Houndstone ex, a foil card of Greavard, 4 Pokemon TCG booster packs and a code card for Pokemon TCG Live.

The Houndstone ex Box releases on 4th October, and is available to pre-order from our site for £19.95!

Charizard ex Super Premium Collection

The latest Premium Collection is featuring everyone's favourite lizard boy, Charizard! This product is very reminiscent of the Hidden Fates Ultra Premium Collection which boasted a Rayquaza card display, the Charizard ex Super Premium Collection features a figure of Charizard!

Also included in this box is a foil promo featuring Charizard ex, 2 foil cards featuring Charmander and Charmeleon, 10 booster packs and a code card for Pokemon TCG Live.

The Charizard ex Super Premium Collection releases on 4th October alongside the Houndstone ex Box!

November 2024

Surging Sparks

Likely to be our last main set of 2024, it has been confirmed that SV8 will be named Surging Sparks! We believe that Surging Sparks will be built up from Japan's Paradise Dragona set (releasing on September 13th, 2024) and/or their Supercharged Breaker set (releasing on October 18th). We can expect to see Pokemon heavily leaning into the Dragon-type and Psychic-type Pokemon with this set, such as Alolan Exeggutor ex and Latias ex! Expect to see even more ACE SPEC cards, and the usual product line-up.

The more we hear about this upcoming set, we will update our blog with all reveals (which you can read here!) Surging Sparks will release on November 8th, and is available to pre-order now!

Terapagos ex Ultra Premium Collection

The next Ultra Premium Collection has been revealed! Much like the Charizard ex Ultra Premium Collection, Terapagos ex is featuring in this next product entry from Pokemon. The product itself looks incredibly premium, and features a slew of exciting contents!

The Terapagos ex Ultra Premium Collection includes:

• 1 foil promo card featuring Terapagos ex
• 1 foil promo card featuring Lapras ex
• 1 foil promo card featuring Cinderace ex
• 1 Playmat
• 6 Damage Dice
• 18 Booster Packs
• 1 Deck Box
• Condition markers

• Full set of Basic Energy cards featuring a crystalline foil look
• 1 One Touch Protector card stand for up to 3 cards

The packs that are in this product will be Stellar Crown, Twilight Masquerade, Paradox Rift and Obsidian Flames. The Ultra Premium Collection retails at £119.99, but you can currently pre-order it from our site for just £99.95!! This product releases on the 1st of November.

Greninja ex Ultra Premium Collection

In an interesting turn of events, it seems we have another Ultra Premium Collection joining Terapagos ex this November too! Fan-favourite Greninja ex is getting its own version of this special collection box. The design on this product has a great contrast to previous Ultra Premium Collections, as it is a stark blue colour focusing on a shuriken instead of the featured Pokemon! Much like the Terapagos ex Ultra Premium Collection, the contents is similar.

The Greninja ex Ultra Premium Collection includes:

• 1 etched foil promo card featuring Greninja ex as a Tera Pokemon ex
• 1 full-art promo card featuring Greninja ex

The packs featured in this set appear to be Stellar Crown, Twilight Masquerade, Temporal Forces, Paradox Rift and Paldea Evolved. There is no current price for this product, but we expect it to also retail at £119.99, and it is not available to pre-order. This product releases in November.
