To mark International Cat Day, The Pokémon Company has revealed Meowth, Alolan Meowth, and their Illustration Rare counterparts from the upcoming 30th Celebration set. The milestone set begins releasing worldwide on September 16, 2026, following on from the reveals we've already covered for the main set and its Classic Collection.
Meowth (#113)
The classic Cat Scratch Pokémon gets a standard printing in the 30th Celebration main set, joining the roster of original 151-era Pokémon receiving fresh artwork for the anniversary.
Meowth Illustration Rare (#144)
Meowth also picks up a full-art Illustration Rare treatment, continuing 30th Celebration's trend of giving fan-favourite species from across the games extra-special alternate art versions.
Alolan Meowth (#089)
Alolan Meowth — one of the very first regional variants ever introduced — joins the set with its own standard printing.
Alolan Meowth Illustration Rare (#139)
Rounding out the reveal, Alolan Meowth also receives an Illustration Rare — giving collectors two chase versions of the Dark-type variant to track down when the set releases.
