Delve into the eldritch horror of Call of Cthulhu!

Delve into a game of eldritch and cosmic horror investigation with the classic Call of Cthulhu. In the game, one player (known as the Keeper) takes on the role of the game master whilst the others create player characters known as Investigators. Although there are numerous settings available, by far the most common is that of prohibition America. The game mixes pulp investigation with the strange and horrifying works of H.P. Lovecraft! Call of Cthulhu is distinct from most RPGs in that the players first choice of action should not be combat. The otherworldly creatures presented in CoC are incredibly formidable and pose a threat not just the investigator's body, but also to their mind!

If you've played some tabletop RPGs before, then the best intro into CoC is by grabbing the Investigator Handbook and one of the pre-written adventures. The Two-Headed Serpent is a great choice for this, as it takes place across several chapters in distinct and exotic locales and has a great level of replayability. If you're foraying into role-playing games for the first time, then a great avenue to explore is the Starter Set. The set contains books, dice, premade character sheets, maps, and enough content to keep a group busy for several roleplaying sessions. It contains an adventure designed for a single-player as well as three small scenarios designed for an entire group.
