Pokemon SM12 Revealed - Cosmic Eclipse!!!

We have some exciting news! We can exclusively reveal that coming November 1st we have the next Pokémon Sun & Moon set Cosmic Eclipse. This will be the final TCG set for the Sun & Moon Series before we move on to Sword & Shield therefore Pokémon has made something really special for us.

The most iconic Pokémon are joining forces to destroy the battlefield with all new Tag Team cards. Tag Team Pokémon include:

  • Arceus, Dialga & Palkia-GX
  • Charizard & Braixen-GX
  • Venusaur & Snivy-GX
  • Blastoise & Piplup-GX
  • Solgaleo & Lunala-GX
  • and many more...

The set will include the following:

  • Over 230 cards
  • 9 brand-new TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX
  • 7 more Pokémon-GX
  • The first appearance of TAG TEAM Supporter cards
  • More than 20 Trainer cards and a new Special Energy card

This is the first-ever appearance of Tag Team Supporter cards, it will be interesting to see what kind of cards we will see. Maybe some of our favorite trainers will team up.

If that isn't a line-up to get you pumped for SM12 I don't know what is. Pokemon is going all out with this set.

The set will be made up from the Japanese sets SM11A Remix Bout, SM11B Dream League and SM12 Alter Genesis. SM11A contains the confirmed Tag Team Pokemon such as Charizard & Braixen-GX, Venusaur & Snivy-GX and Blastoise & Piplup-GX so we can expect to see most the cards out of that set in Cosmic Eclipse. SM11B Dream League isn't out in japan so we don't have a full set list however the booster pack image features a Solgaleo & Lunala so we expect that's where the we will get the tag team card from. What's also important to note is the pack also features Trainers like N, Red, Roxie and Pokemon like Reshiram & Zekrom. We wouldn't be surprised if all of these make an appearance as well however that is just speculation. The final Japanese set to make up SM12 is Alter Genesis. This is where the Arceus, Dialga & Palkia-GX will be taken from. Whats important to note is this set also features Solgaleo & Lunala-GX. This means we could be seeing alternate artworks in a single set or possibly receive something along the lines of a collection box to give us the card. This Japanese set doesn't come out until September so only time will tell.

Along with the news of the set name we also have a full product description for the Elite Trainer box which you can find below:

At the apex of the Sun & Moon Series, the Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon Cosmic Eclipse expansion boosts the connection of Pokémon and Trainers, and it launches TAG TEAM combinations to a whole new level! Jump into battle with Charizard & Braixen-GX, Venusaur & Snivy-GX, Blastoise & Piplup-GX, and Solgaleo & Lunala-GX, along with the triple TAG TEAM of Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX, plus many more!

Feel the stellar power of Pokémon with the Sun & Moon—Cosmic Eclipse expansion!

The Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon—Cosmic Eclipse Elite Trainer Box includes:
• 8 Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon—Cosmic Eclipse booster packs
• 65 card sleeves featuring Arceus & Dialga & Palkia
• 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards
• A player’s guide to the Sun & Moon—Cosmic Eclipse expansion
• 6 damage-counter dice
• 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
• 2 acrylic condition markers and 1 acrylic TAG TEAM GX marker
• A collector’s box to hold everything, with 4 dividers to keep it organized
• A code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online

The Elite Trainer Box sounds pretty amazing, we hope they do another Stained Glass Window design for Cosmic Eclipse like they did for the Articuno, Moltres & Zapdos-GX Tag Team Card in the previous Elite Trainer Box. Seeing Arceus, Dialga & Palkia-GX on a Stained Glass Window card would just be incredible. There are so many products to get your hands on, it was bad enough giving us Hidden Fates the set of everyone's dreams, and now we have another awesome set to obsess over.
