Rise of the Necrons!

The Necrons are really being spoilt recently, with all the new and exciting miniatures Games Workshop are bringing out for it. The newest and perhaps one of the best additions to the Necrons is C'tan Shard of the Void Dragon. The Void Dragon, sometimes referred to as The Dragon, is one of the only remaining C'tan, and is one of the Necron's star gods in our Galaxy. The Void Dragon, or a large Shard of it, is believed by some Tech-priests to be a Machine God venerated by the Cult of the Machine of the Adeptus Mechanicus. No C'tan Shard of this C'tan has yet been encountered, and it is entirely possible that the Void Dragon has remained intact through the eons and it's essence was never captured within the Necrons' Tesseract Labyrinths. This is a truly terrifying prospect for the galaxy if this entity were to awaken.

Along with the Void Dragon, the Necrons are also getting a remake of the famous Monolith. A Monolith is a massive mobile fortress which the Necrons use as their primary planetary assault craft. A Monolith combines the properties of a transport craft, armoured destroyer and it is an icon of undying Necron power. It is able to float across a battlefield upon its anti-gravity engines, whilst its crystal core pulses with sickly energy that can be manipulated into powerful beams of Gauss lightning which it fires out from its weapon mounts. When its massive silhouette looms over a battlefield, it will lay waste to entire armies with dazzling torrents of gauss fire and the deafening crack of its Particle Whip. Few armies can stand long before the immense firepower of a Monolith. Living troops are reduced to their component atoms by its punishing gauss flux arcs, while tanks rupture and explode in showers of molten steel as it focuses its energies upon them.

Another addition we are ecstatic for is the Ophydian Destroyers. Repugnant to other Necrons, Ophydian Destroyers echo elements of long-forgotten Wraiths and Flayed Ones in their murder-optimised bodies. Destroyers burrow through solid ferrocrete with frenzied violence and leaving shadows of dimensional displacement, they burst into the battlefield to ambush, hack and rend their prey apart in the most brutal ways.

Finally, we are getting Convergence of Dominion. These are groups of 3 Starsteles which were placed upon planets as territorial markers and silent but watchful guardians by the Necron nobles. Over the millennia they have become forgotten archaeological curios or feared sources of superstitious rumour about vanishments and strange lights. Now they awaken again as their masters do. This faction-specific Fortification not only provides covers for your Necron forces as they advance, but it also grants multiple benefits to nearby units. Each of the three Starsteles that make up the Convergence of Dominion is armed with a transdimensional abductor, an ancient weapon perfect for killing any enemies that would dare get too close.

With all these latest new additions to the Necron army, it is clear to see why they have never been so popular! Necrons are well and truly putting up a good fight, Which miniature are you most excited for? If you're interested in these miniatures make sure you follow the product link below for more information
