SHASN is an epic board game about politics, ethics, & strategy. Between 3-5 players compete to win an unfolding election. To play, you gather power through resources, territory, and allies. To win, you may have to do much, much more.

We all think we know who we are and what we will and won’t do. SHASN allows us to test our moral code. While playing SHASN, you can play the board or your friends for victory. You are a politician competing for your share of power. As a heated election unfolds, you will make difficult choices at each step. These choices can make you win, even at the cost of complete chaos.

WHY SHASN?

Being a politician is complicated. You have to win to be useful. To win, you have to say and do many things. Sometimes, what you say and what you do are opposites, and that’s not good for your image. So, you use other tools. Headlines in the media, and Conspiracies through backdoors. You use every trick in the book, and sometimes create your own tricks, to make a win easier for you, and harder for your rivals.

• Take a Stand: Start your turn by making a tough ethical or political choice. Answer a policy question by choosing from two answers.
• Be Resourceful: Every answer will yield different resources. Learn to manage your reservoir of Funds, Clout, Media, Trust.
• Influence Voters: Use your resources to influence voters from the open Voterbank Cards on the board.
• Capture Areas: Deploy your voters to capture areas and form majorities by influencing over half the voters in a zone.
• Gerrymander Voters: Every majority you form will give you the power to move around voters and redraw the battle lines.
• Scheme and Adapt: Invest in Conspiracy Cards to sabotage your enemies and be on the lookout for unpredictable Headlines.
• Stick To Your Principles: Build your ideologies to unlock new boosts and ways of releasing your wrath upon your rivals.
• Dominate and Win: The game ends when a majority has been formed in every zone. The player with the most majority voters wins.
