OCG Adds Three New Tournament-Forbidden Cards Ahead of Japan Championship 2026

The upcoming Japan Championship 2026 has updated its list of "additional" tournament-only Forbidden cards, effective July 1st. These cards sit outside the standard OCG Forbidden/Limited list and are restricted only for specific tournaments — typically ones using best-of-3 match structures rather than single duels.

Current Tournament-Forbidden List

  • Mystic Wok
  • Emergency Provisions
  • Rainbow Life
  • Self-Destruct Button
  • Tri-and-Guess

Newly Added (July 1st)

  • One Day of Peace
  • Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood
  • Hallowed Life Barrier

For now, this restriction only applies to Japan Championship 2026 — it doesn't affect the regular OCG Forbidden/Limited list, though it could be extended to other tournament formats in the future.
