Get back to basics with Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic!

Pokemon Day had some truly exciting announcements lined up, some we were expecting and some that surprised us. But the one reveal standing out from the crowd is Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic! This sleek upgrade from the TCG we all know and love is truly stunning, with interesting upgrades and what looks to be some pretty powerful decks - we cannot wait for this to hit the shelves later this year! Check out the details surrounding the contents of this announcement below:

Box Contents

Contained in the stylish black box you will find 3 unique decks; Blastoise & Suicune ex, Charizard & Ho-oh ex, and Venusaur & Lugia ex. You'll also find a playmat integrated into the case, 3 flip deck boxes, 3 deck sleeve sets (64 sleeves contained in each), amazing 3D condition markers for burned and poisoned, 2 silver ball bearings and stackable damage counters. This product just screams premium!

CC - ScrunchFlip a coin. If heads, prevent all damage done to Chansey during your opponent's next turn. (Any other effects of attacks still happen.)

CCCC - Double-edge - 80Chansey does 80 damage to itself

Discard your hand, then draw 7 cards.

Pokemon tool

Attacks from the Venusaur this card is attached to deal 100 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon.


Charizard & Ho-oh ex


Charizard

Pokemon Power: Energy Burn All Energy attached to this Pokemon are Fire Energy instead of their usual type. This Pokemon Power stops working if this Pokemon is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed.

FF - Fire Spin - 100 Discard 2 Energy from this Pokemon



Ho-Oh ex

F - Phoenix Breath - 30Attach up to 2 Basic Energy from your discard pile to your Pokémon in any way you like

FFCC- Eternal Blaze - 180This Pokémon can't attack during your next turn.



Pikachu

C - Gnaw - 10

LC - Thunder Jolt - 30Flip a coin. If tails, Pikachu does 10 damage to itself.

Attacks from the Charizard this card is attached to deal 100 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon.



Computer Search

Trainer

Discard 2 of the other cards from your hand in order to search your deck for any card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.


Blastoise & Suicune ex


Blastoise

Pokemon Power: Rain Dance As often as you like during your turn, you may attach a Basic Water Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Water Pokemon. This Pokemon Power can't be used if this Pokemon is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed.

WWW - Hydro Pump - 40+ This attack does 10 more damage for each extra Water Energy attached to this Pokemon (in addition to this attack's cost). You can't add more than 20 damage in this way.



Suicune ex

Ability: Aqua Float If this Pokémon has any Water Energy attached to it, it has no Retreat Cost.

CCC- Crystal Blast - 60+This attack does 30 more damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokemon.



MewTwo

PC - Psychic- 10+ Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy card attached to the Defending Pokemon.

PP - Discard 1 Psychic Energy card attached to MewTwo in order to use this attack. During your opponent's next turn, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage done to MewTwo.

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Each player shuffles his or her hand into his or her deck. Then, each player counts his or her Prize cards left and draws up to that many cards. (You draw your cards first.)
