Top 10 decks to expect in our Modern TCG League event!
We are super excited for the upcoming Magic the Gathering TCG League Event! This event is jam packed full of goodies, and prizes for the best players! The event is due to take place on 10/9/22 and the winner of the event will not only get an exclusive playmat but also to pick from a PS5 or Xbox Series X!! During the runup we are exploring some of the best Modern decks that are active in the community. Which decks will you be bringing to the event and which do you think will take the top spot!? UR Murktide Murktide is a Tempo deck that runs powerful low-cost threats with an extremely efficient backup of control and protection. It is an extremely popular top-tier deck! Some of the staples include:
- Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer
- Counterspell
- Murktide regent
4 colours control/elementals Focused around a versatile set of counters, attack and defence, this four-colour deck is based around Omnath and Wren & Six! It relies on a variable mana base with triomes and shock lands playing an important part in the decks viability! Some of the staples include:

- Wrenn and Six
- Yorion
Yawgmoth This deck is centred around the epic Yawgmoth and it's ability to exploit undying creatures for a ton of draw power and whittling down the opponents life with creatures that trigger damage when they enter or leave the battlefield. Some of the most important staples include:

- Grist, the Hunger Tide
- Blood Artist
Hammer Time Hammer Time utilises the epic damage of Colossus Hammer to beat down the opponent in one or two massive hits! Some of the staples include:

Burn Burn is a super simple yet super effective strategy in the world of Modern. The main strategy is just to hit the opponent with as much damage from sorcery spells before they have a chance to set up! Any burn deck is incomplete without Lightning Bolt and some other staples:

- Eidolon of the Great Revel
- Monastery Swiftspear
Living End Living End forces a win by utilising the cascade mechanic. It is very simple to play and if your opponent can't counter it, then they are certainly in trouble! Some of the key cards for this deck include:

Amulet Titan Amulet Titan is one of the more complicated decks on our list, but has endured in popularity for a long time! Some of the common cards include:
- Primeval Titan
- Amulet of Vigor
- Summoner's Pact
Mono-Green Tron This deck focuses on completing a set of Urza lands on the field for a massive mana advantage which can then be used to power massive creatures and powerful card effects! Cards that are often included are:
- Karn Liberated
- Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
- Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
Grixis Death's Shadow This Grixis (blue, black, and red) deck focuses on cheap threats backed up by cards like Thoughtsieve and Drown in the Loch! Check out some of the staples below:

Azorius Control This deck leans heavily on being able to answer your opponents every move and maintaining control over the battlefield! Common cards in the deck include:
